Officers were called to a home on Midwood Lane, where they found a white American Bulldog shot to death in the front yard around 9:30 a.m., Bristol Township police said.

The neighbor told police that he was walking his German Shephard past a house when the bulldog escaped and began attacking his dog.

The man, who was licensed to carry, then pulled out a revolver and fired one shot at the bulldog, killing it, police said.

It was unclear whether the man would face charges because the DA's office is still investigating.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Officer Jacker of the Bristol Township Police Department at jjacker186@bristolpd.org.
